Australian Golfers Off To A Good Start
At The Memorial, Rod Pampling and Nick O’Hern have a share of the lead at 7 under. Badds is one stroke behind them, and then Stuart Appleby is the next best Aussie at 2 under.
On the Nationwide Tour they’re playing the LaSalle Bank Open where Jason Day is in a share of the lead at 6 under, Greg Chalmers is in a share of third at 5 under and matthew Johns is T8 at 4 under. Nick Flanagan, who has already won twice on the Nationwide Tour this year is T23 at two under. Play has been suspended due to darkness, with less than a dozen players still to finish the first round.
Over in Europe at The Celtic Manor Wales Open, Brett Rumford shares the lead with eight other players on 4 under, one of whom is New Zealander Steve Alker. Matthew Zions is one of 13 players a shot behind the leaders. Marcus Fraser and Andrew Tampion are on one under (T35)
