Overall, 2008 will be looked back on as a very disappointing year for Australian golfers on the Euro Tour. The Euro tour stretches far and wide these days and if it wasn’t for some wins outside of the European continent itself, the trophy cabinet would be looking very bare indeed.

2007 The Celtic Manor Wales Open
After sharing the lead, and being well in contention at the end of Day 2, Brett Rumford basically bombed out as can be seen below. A wet course made for soft and receptive greens, but the Australians just couldn’t take advantage of the conditions.
