Leaney And Coles Withdraw From The Barclays
Cal on August 24th, 2007
Citing a wrist injury, Stephen Leaney withdrew after his first round at The Barclays Championship.
Leaney had a 5 over 76 in his first round. Since he was 68th in the FedEx Cup points going into the tournament, he will still be eligible to play in next weeks Deutsche Bank Championship.
Gavin Coles had managed to complete only eight holes and was 3 over when he pulled out with a severe neck pain.
He was 130th in the FedEx Cup playoffs and pulling out of The Barclays means that he is now out of the next three events. This is a real shame for Coles as he has been in and out of the PGA Tour over the last few years after winning the 2002 Jacobs Creek Open Championship.
