Draper Misses Cut At Jacob’s Creek Open Qualifier

It has not taken long for the Queenslander to get a taste of the roller-coaster lifestyle facing a professional golfer.
Barely 24 hours after his first professional triumph in the New South Wales PGA Championship, Draper failed to qualify for the Jacob’s Creek Open despite signing for a two-under par 70 at Blackwood yesterday.
“I was happy to come in with two under but I just came up short (in qualifying),” Draper said.
As a touch of revenge, fellow Queenslander Andrew Bonhomme, who was runner-up to Draper at Riverside Oaks on Sunday, grabbed a spot in the opening round at Kooyonga with a consistent round which netted him a 67.
