Grip, Alignment, Stance and Posture

Many high handicappers set up to the ball in a way that generally guarantees a poor shot.
Most mistakes actually happen before you even swing the club.
Check the following basics to make sure you are giving yourself every opportunity to hit a good shot:
- grip – ease off on the pressure
- alignment – make sure you really are aiming where you think you are!
- stance – feet about shoulder width apart
- posture – get more upright, don’t slouch or hunch
Just think of the acronym GASP.
If you get these basics right your chances of success are dramatically increased.
A check up with a professional on these fundamentals will help greatly, and actually doesn’t cost that much.
